10 Considerations for Implementing an XDR Strategy
August 1, 2018 by Kylie Heintz
Company aims to work with like-minded partners known for bringing strong network, data and security expertise to a wide range of enterprise customers and organizations
San Francisco, Calif. — August 1, 2018 — Corelight, providers of the most powerful network visibility solution for cybersecurity, today announced it has launched a new comprehensive channel program, aimed at accelerating growth in its enterprise and government sales business across all verticals.
The Corelight channel program is designed to work with trusted partners in the enterprise data, networking and security space, as well as partners with expertise in selling into federal government agencies and large academic or research institutions to bring Corelight’s powerful network traffic analysis and forensics capabilities to their customers.
“Corelight is quickly becoming the definitive tool used by enterprises across all verticals to make sense of their network traffic in real time,” said Greg Bell, CEO of Corelight. “We aim to build meaningful mutual relationships with new partners that share our laser-focused mission: to make the world’s networks safer. We do that by helping our customers access the right security-relevant data at the right time.”
Corelight offers a three-tier channel program designed to reflect and meet the investments made in the partnership and to support a variety of levels of engagement and commitment. Based on level and approval, partners can access a wide range of benefits including:
Corelight partners can also take advantage of discounts from Corelight original list price for appliances, subscriptions and renewals at various levels in the program.
Eleven widely respected global resellers, integrators and service providers have already signed on as Corelight partners including, Adaptive Integration, Blue Ivy Partners, Carahsoft, Clearshark, FCN, Inc., Optiv, Secure Data Solutions, SHI, Teneo, World Wide Technologies, and Informatique Netherlands.
Carahsoft, the Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider™, and one of Corelight’s inaugural partners, recognizes great opportunity in working with Corelight to extend its next-generation security sensor capabilities to some of the most experienced security analysts and incident responders across the federal government.
“Carahsoft’s commitment to helping the federal government solve their most difficult incident response initiatives with best-of-breed continuous network monitoring solutions compelled us to seek out a partnership with Corelight. Their founders and early employees have been instrumental in creating and maintaining the Bro open source network security framework,” said Ebben Yazel, technology alliances manager at Carahsoft. “The Corelight Sensor was engineered to do one thing extremely well: transform high-volume network traffic into high-fidelity data streams, making Corelight a uniquely powerful and effective tool for our federal customers’ IT security stacks.”
Another early partner, Teneo, Inc., offers global organizations a powerful mix of next-generation network, storage and security technologies with specialist consultancy and “as-a-service” delivery models. Teneo views Corelight as being on the cutting edge of network visibility technology which solves an immediate need for many of its customers.
“Many of our customers are large enterprises with high network traffic throughput which can be a challenge to efficiently police in a way that does not slow performance or require additional resources or expertise,” said Adam Beckman, vice president of global partner development at Teneo. “This is what makes Corelight such a valuable addition to our solution portfolio for customers. Corelight provides a richer source of data and better insight into just what is happening on the network; this solves a very real pain point for our customers.”
Corelight merges the power of Bro – a powerful open source network visibility platform created in 1995 by Corelight founder Vern Paxson – with a suite of enterprise features that dramatically improve Bro performance and usability, like an intuitive web-based management UI, comprehensive API, native NIC shunting, sensor health metrics, and automated data export to Splunk, Elastic, Kafka, Syslog, S3, and more.
Corelight plans to continue to expand internationally with increased investment in global sales infrastructure and build out additional strategic partner alliances domestically and abroad.
Partners interested in joining the Corelight partner program can learn more about the program as well as submit an application to join on the Corelight website.
About Corelight
Corelight delivers the most powerful network visibility solutions for information security professionals, helping them understand network traffic and defend their organizations more effectively. Corelight solutions are built on the Zeek framework (formerly known as “Bro”), the powerful and widely-used open source network analysis framework that generates actionable, real-time data for thousands of security teams worldwide. Zeek data has become the ‘gold standard’ for incident response, threat hunting, and forensics in large enterprises and government agencies worldwide. Corelight makes a family of network sensors — both physical and virtual, at every scale — that take the pain out of deploying Zeek by adding integrations and capabilities large organizations need. The Zeek project was initially developed at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), and has been supported by the US Department of Energy (DOE), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI). Corelight is based in San Francisco, Calif. For more information, visit Corelight.com or follow @corelight_inc.
